Workspace isolation

Each workspace has a separate SQLite database. VIVUM Labs uses a small global control database for operational records such as workspace lifecycle and platform-wide AI usage allowances; it does not contain your lab records.

AI processing

When a signed-in user explicitly acknowledges the AI notice and starts protocol research or generation, VIVUM sends the species and the relevant selected sources to the configured AI provider. For an uploaded protocol, the extracted document text is included only when that document is selected for generation. The research provider may use web search or web fetch tools to read the sources you choose.

Weekly journal digests send that week's journal-entry text to the configured digest AI provider when a digest is generated. AI output is a draft or summary: review it before relying on it for lab work.

Documents, backups, and deletion

Uploaded protocol documents are stored with the workspace and are included in its media backups. Database replicas and media snapshots are retained locally for up to seven days.

To request workspace deletion, contact dallas@vivumlabs.co.za. Approved deletion schedules a 30-day recovery window. After that window, the workspace's active data is purged; a protected backup snapshot may retain a pre-purge copy for up to seven days.
